USB 20Gbps docking station for 2× NVMe SSD
The fast AXAGON ADSA-M2C22L CLONE MASTER docking and cloning station with a USB-C 20Gbps interface is designed for working with up to two NVMe M.2 SSDs. The station allows both drives to be connected to a computer simultaneously or cloned from one source drive to another without using a PC. The open design allows quick insertion and replacement of drives without screws, while the sliding cover protects both slots from dust when the station is not in use. Once connected to a computer, you get up to two additional storage drives at the same time. The station is ideal for fast formatting, erasing, testing or preparing NVMe SSDs during data migration, operating system installation, computer servicing or backup. A USB-C 20Gbps cable is also included.
Cloning without a computer
The station allows one NVMe M.2 SSD to be cloned to another NVMe drive without using a computer or notebook. Thanks to the USB 20Gbps interface, the ADSA-M2C22L achieves a cloning speed of up to 2,000 MB/s. Cloning a 1 TB NVMe drive therefore takes approximately 15 minutes. Simply insert the source drive into the M.2 Source slot and the target drive into the M.2 Target slot, start cloning with the button and monitor the progress using the LED indicators. Since cloning is performed independently without intervention by the operating system, the process is safe, stable and fast – the data is not affected by the OS. Button activation also minimizes the risk of an unintended operation. The result is an exact copy of the drive, including the operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux). The station clones the entire contents of the drive block by block (LBA), so the cloning time depends on the capacity of the source drive, not on the amount of data stored. The target drive must have the same or greater capacity than the source drive.

The USB 20Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2x2) interface offers a theoretical bandwidth of up to 20 Gb/s. The station's performance is optimized for working with multiple SSDs simultaneously, whether during cloning, data transfer or everyday use. The achieved speed also depends on the type and generation of the M.2 SSDs used. At the heart of the station is the modern JMicron JMS586U chipset, which helps maintain a stable transfer speed even under high load and during long-term operation. The result is smooth data transfer without significant fluctuations and efficient use of the performance of the connected SSDs.
Drives in the system, quick replacement and wide compatibility
Once connected to a computer, both inserted drives appear as separate drives, allowing you to work with them independently or simultaneously, copy data or use them for storage management. The open design allows quick SSD replacement without screws, saving time when working with multiple drives. The two slots also allow you to configure a software RAID, for example for increased data protection in Windows and macOS. To configure this protection, use "Storage Spaces" in Windows or "RAID Assistant" in Disk Utility in macOS. The station is compatible with older USB standards as well as modern USB4 and Thunderbolt 3, 4 and 5 interfaces. It supports NVMe M.2 SSDs without capacity limitations and modern technologies such as UASP, TRIM (NVMe DEALLOCATE) and S.M.A.R.T. Plug and Play and power-saving mode support are also included.
Sliding cover protects the slots from dust
The sliding cover protects both M.2 slots from dust and other debris when the docking station is not in use. Simply close it and the device is ready for safe storage or transport.
