BakkerElkhuizen FootRest No.4, Grå, Gult, Plast, 150 kg, 15 - 15°, 45 cm, 37 cm

A healthy working posture doesn’t have to be complicated. The FootRest No.4 supports your feet, and the flexible material encourages subtle movements so you can maintain an ergonomic sitting posture without compromising your concentration. The clever design can be used in countless ways and encourages small postural adjustments that keep your blood circulation active.

Designed for an active working day
For many people, sitting still for long periods is a regular part of the working day. The FootRest No.4 has been developed to integrate movement into that routine in a natural way. By regularly moving your feet and making small movements on the flexible bumps, your legs and feet remain active and comfortable. This results in a workplace that better aligns with how the body naturally functions: not static, but always in motion.

Designed for today, with tomorrow in mind
What sets the FootRest No.4 apart is the choice of materials. The footrest is made from 100% polyethylene (PE) and contains 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. This gives existing materials a new lease of life and reduces reliance on new raw materials. If you look closely at the FootRest No.4, you’ll discover a sort of confetti of colours – making recycling a real celebration! Due to the use of recycled materials, the shade of the product varies from batch to batch, but the FootRest No.4 will always be grey!

Thanks to the strong, wear-resistant properties of PE, the FootRest No.4 is easy to clean and designed to last for years. The footrest thus combines ergonomic comfort with a long service life and a lower environmental impact. BakkerElkhuizen has such confidence in the quality and durability of this product that we offer a lifetime guarantee (see terms and conditions). This makes the FootRest No.4 a reliable choice for both office environments and home workspaces.

Ergonomic background
An ergonomic workstation is tailored to the user. When the feet cannot rest comfortably on the floor, a footrest helps to ensure a stable and relaxed sitting posture.
In addition, movement plays an important role in healthy computer use. Sitting still for long periods reduces muscle activity in the legs and slows down blood circulation (World Health Organisation [WHO], 2020). Small movements of the feet and legs keep the calf muscles active; these act as a natural pump that supports blood circulation. By regularly changing position and continuing to move subtly, muscles remain more active and stiffness and fatigue in the legs and feet can be reduced (European Agency for Safety and Health at Work [EU-OSHA], n.d.). The FootRest No.4 supports this natural dynamic and encourages a more active sitting posture.
